Updates 2020

Charlotte Water is conducting preliminary engineering work in your area for an important water main project that will enhance water system reliability. Beginning in early November, subcontractors for Charlotte Water will be surveying and conducting fieldwork along Plott Road and on E WT Harris Boulevard between Hickory Grove and Idlewild roads. During this time, it may be necessary for Charlotte Water and its subcontractors to be on your property to visually confirm the location of some underground utilities. In addition to personnel, customers could see minor clearing activities in the area, survey stakes/flags, paint markings on the ground, and machinery used for geotechnical borings. More information can be found in the November 2020 update(PDF, 2MB).

10/21/2020

Charlotte Water is conducting preliminary engineering work in the Hickory Grove, Farm Pond, Hickory Ridge, Idlewild Farms, and Marlwood areas for an important project that will enhance water quality in our community. Crews will be conducting a field assessment to identify various utilities and the general terrain. These surveying activities may include designating underground utilities by marking specific areas, placing wooden stakes in the ground, and identifying existing property boundaries along the road rights-of-way. We ask that residents do not remove these stakes and markings as they are critical to completing the design of this project. This work is expected to take 8 to 10 months to complete. More information can be found in the WT Harris/Plott Road October 2020 mailer update(PDF, 1MB)
