Brent D. Cagle, Assistant City Manager
Brent Cagle serves as an assistant city manager for the City of Charlotte with responsibility for the Aviation, Finance, General Services, Human Resources and Strategy and Budget Departments. He also serves as a staff resource to the Budget and Effectiveness Committee and serves as the City Manager’s Office liaison to the City of Charlotte Privatization and Competition Advisory Committee.
Mr. Cagle previously served as the city’s aviation director overseeing the Charlotte Douglas International Airport. He joined the airport in February 2012 as chief financial officer and became the chief executive officer in July 2013.
Prior to working for the City of Charlotte, Mr. Cagle worked for Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport as the chief financial officer after working for 10 years in a variety of budget and financial roles in the City of Phoenix.
Mr. Cagle holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University and a Masters of Public Administration from Texas Tech University. He is also a certified member of the American Association of Airport Executives.
