Council Committees

The mayor appoints Charlotte City Council members to different committees to receive updates and provide feedback on projects and programs, and to make policy recommendations to the full City Council. The four City Council committees meet on the first Monday of every month. The committees are:

Transportation, Planning and Development Committee

Jobs and Economic Development Committee

Budget, Governance and Intergovernmental Relations Committee

Housing, Safety and Community Committee

The Council Action Review and Consent Items begin at 5:00 PM, in room 267. City Council receives updates and briefings on issues and programs related to upcoming Council Actions and considers action on Consent Items.
