CATS Announces the Holiday Bus Returns

The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) is announcing the return of the Holiday Bus! This CATS bus is adorned in a winter-themed bus wrap and it provides free rides around the Charlotte region. The bus is placed on random routes throughout December, and if you see it on your route – your trip is free!

MTC Seeks Applicants for New Advisory Committee

MTC is seeking applicants for its new committee, the Public Transit Advisory Committee (PTAC). PTAC replaces the Citizens Transit Advisory Group (CTAG) and the Transit Services Advisory Committee (TSAC). PTAC will be established effective Jan. 1, 2025, through an interlocal agreement between the City of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County and the six towns.

The Woodlawn Park and Ride, located along the Blue Line at 4756 Old Pineville Road, will be restriped beginning Tuesday, Dec. 3. The Park and Ride will be closed until the work is completed.

Sidewalk at Sharon Road West Station Closed for Repairs

The section of sidewalk around the elevator along the north end of the station at Sharon Road West will be closed for repairs. The work is estimated to be completed within five days.

Tyvola Park and Ride Reopen

The Tyvola Park and Ride, located along the Blue Line at 5703 Old Pineville Road, has reopened today after being closed for maintenance.
